CCUSA History
Recognizing the need to form an organization whose
governance would be fully democratic and respectful of all
participants, CCUSA was formed in May 2002.
CCUSA is a fully recognized Scottish Clan society and is a member in good
standing of the Council of Scottish
Clans and Associations (COSCA).
Since it's inception, Clan Cunningham USA has continued to grow
and thrive; building on the dedication of its ever-increasing membership. We
are excited about the future of our organization and welcome you to join our
family as
we build on the traditions of the past and the strength of our common heritage.
* Fair Fa' Ye means "Welcome" in the Scots
language; the language of our Cunningham ancestors.
Join CCUSA at "The
Gathering" - Edinburgh 2009
Mark your calendars now to join CCUSA at
"The Gathering". This
event will be held July 25 - 26, 2009 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh and will
be the largest highland games in Scotland's history; featuring clan members
from all over the globe and a historic clan parade up the Royal Mile into
Edinburgh Castle. In addition to the event, CCUSA is also planning a tour of
Cunningham sites in the Ayrshire area.
CCUSA encourages all Cunninghams to join us at
"The Gathering" and on the tour. A special welcome is extended to members
of Clan Cunningham organizations around the globe; whether they be stateside
or across the pond! You don't have to be a member of CCUSA to hop on the bus
- so don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime event!
